Research

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Istanbul University's Faculty of Economics, Economic Policy Division. My research focuses on international economics, regional development, economic geography, and spatial economic analysis. I examine the social and environmental dimensions of economic policy, with particular emphasis on sustainability, and I am actively involved in TUBITAK-funded research projects and editorial roles at ESCI-indexed journals. Through my research and teaching, I bridge theoretical frameworks with empirical evidence to understand how economic policies shape real-world outcomes.
